Today our class practiced some fractions and we finished our castles in our groups.

In fractions 1/2 is the same as 6/12 here's one fraction sum :1/6 x 3/9= what do you think the answer is?

Attention - Swimming! 🏊🏼

This term year 6 will be going swimming. Our first session is next week.

Please ensure you bringing your swimming kits, towels etc every Friday.

Also, please bring in your permission slips asap.

Class newsletter - Term 1

Clay modelling... Three headed dragons! 🐲

We are reading a book called Beowulf by Michael Morpurgo. Today we created clay models of the dreaded, evil beast! Pop by and see them during open morning on Friday :) 

This morning we had a Roald Dahl assembly because it is Roald Dahl day and he would have been one hundred years old today. We also did a cold write today about being a Viking warrior , there was a monster attacking our city and we had to write to the King or Queen. So we had to explain if we were the man or the woman for the job to slaughter the terrible beast/monster!

Welcome back to school everybody, I hope you all had a fabulous holiday... You're now in year 6! 

This year there will be lots of exciting learning and lots of challenges.

You should all have taken home a curriculum map for this term, if you haven't please make sure you pick one up from my desk tomorrow.
